About
Since 1919 the Presbyterian Children’s Home of the Highlands has provided love, sanctuary, guidance and support to children that have been removed from their homes and families. Over the past ninety years thousands of children have passed through our doors.
In our early days many of our children were orphans, whose parents were victims of wars and disease. As we moved into the 21st century, many of our children are victims of various forms of abuse and neglect. There have been many changes in our history, but the commitment to providing our children the best possible care remains a constant force in our ministry.
Our staff is committed to working with the children’s families and other significant people in their lives to facilitate a return to their home. When this is not a possibility, the children may stay with us as alternative plans are developed or until their graduation. While in our care they live in an atmosphere of love and concern that enables the child to grow and mature physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and socially.
We hope you enjoy browsing through our website and learning about our ministry. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know. We are proud of our years of service and look forward to providing a home for God’s children in need for years to come.
